'Nother FO: Mock Cable Hat

Here is the Mock Cable Hat. Another super-quick knit. Purl Essence Sincerely in Charcoal Grey again (the other half of the skein I used for The Natural) and #4 needles.

Mock cables go so quickly because you don't have to take any stitches off the needle onto a cable needle. It's just basically putting your needle into a different stitch. The only alteration I made to this pattern (besides going down in needle size to get guage) was to add another cable repeat to make it longer. Still, I knitted this one during the course of watching a show about giganticism in dinosaurs that I had recorded earlier.

Yes. The nerd-o-meter is going off right now. I know.

The thing is, mock cables still look good. There's still a lot of interest in this hat, right? And it was still fun to knit, even though it went quickly. It's a good unisex pattern, too. Especially in this dark color.
